FRANKLINTON - David Brumfield, age 44, a resident of Breaux Bridge, La., died Saturday, Jan. 19 in Lafayette, La. Crain and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral services, which are incomplete.

Jack Lowe

(Died Jan. 24, 2008)

BOGALUSA - Jack Lowe, age 81, a resident of Bogalusa, died Thursday, Jan. 24, in Covington.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Brown Lowe; three children, Shelia Belmore of Assonet, Mass., Frank Lowe of White, Ga. And John Lowe of Rydal, Ga.; grandchildren, Robert Belmore, Heather Goodwin, Jared and Joanna Lowe, Laura, Jenny and Morgan Lowe; two great-grandchildren, Colin and Nathan Belmore; a sister, Betty Harriel of Bogalusa; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard H. Lowe and mother Lorena M. Lowe of Columbia, Miss.; two sisters, Georgia Barron and Tommie Rhe Wallace.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home and will continue from 8 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating.

Interment will follow in the Columbia Cemetery, Columbia, Miss.

Lovie D. McCant

(Died Jan. 21, 2008)

FRANKLINTON - Lovie D. McCant, age 89, a resident of Franklinton, died Monday, Jan. 21, in the Gulf State Rehabilitation Center in Bogalusa.

He is survived by a daughter, Ella Rose (Jerry) Bickham of Franklinton; three sons, James (Mary) McCullen of Franklinton, Lovester McCant of Franklinton and Alvin (Delores) McCant of Angie; 24 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Winan United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow in the Sweet Home Cemetery.

Oliver Lee Montgomery

(Died Jan. 24, 2008)

BOGALUSA - Oliver Lee Montgomery, age 81, a resident of Bogalusa and former resident of New Orleans, died Thursday, Jan. 24 in the LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Montgomery of Bogalusa; two sons, Oliver Montgomery Jr. of New Orleans and Edward (Carmen) Montgomery of Clinton, Md.; a daughter, Willie Lou (Minister Kermit) Smith of New Orleans; two brothers, Pastor R.E. (Carrie) Montgomery of Chicago, Ill. and R.D. Montgomery of Toledo, Ohio; four sisters, Lula Ray Kelly of Sontag, Miss., Ollie Mae Simmons of Sontag, Miss., Della (Burt) Chislom of Denver, Colo. and Loretta Patterson of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Eliza Montgomery; two brothers, Wilton Montgomery and Enoch Montgomery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa with the Rev. Louis A. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cem-etery.

Ernest Henry

"Bo" Pope Jr.

(Died Jan. 24, 2008)

DENHAM SPRINGS - Ernest Henry "Bo" Pope Jr., age 54, a resident of Denham Springs and native of Washington Parish, died Thursday, Jan. 24 in Denham Springs.

He is survived by a daughter, Misty Massarek; mother, Betty Smith Pope; sisters, Donnie Byrd, Glenda Lawrence, Judy Williams and Nancy Buhler; brother, James Pope; two grandchildren, Collin and Caleb Massarek.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Pope Sr.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd.

Services will continue at 9 a.m. on Monday until time of the funeral service at 10 a.m.

A graveside service will be held at Lang-Simmons Cemetery in Sheridan.

Alvin "A.J." Walston

(Died Jan. 24, 2008)

BOGALUSA - Alvin "A.J." Walston, age 75, a resident of Bogalusa, died on Thursday, Jan. 24, at his residence.

He was a Korean war veteran while serving his country in the United States Army.

He was presently serving on the board of officers for Loyal order of Moose Lodge 1773.

He his survived by two daughters, Donna Sue Nielson of Bogalusa and Aline O. Walston of New Orleans; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patrice "Pepper" Walston; a son, John T. Walston II.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

The Rev. Larry Lassley and the Rev. Don Miley will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post No. 24.
