BOGALUSA - Bobby R. Adams, age 49, a resident of Bogalusa, died Wednesday, Feb. 13 in LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.

Artie Faye Dudley

(Died Feb. 13, 2008)

BOGALUSA - Artie Faye Dudley, age 66, a resident of Bogalusa, died Feb. 13 in Our Lady of the Lourdes Regional Hospital, Lafayette, La.

She is survived by one son, William "Joey" (Jane) Dudley of Youngsville, La.; one sister, Jeanette (Alton) Davis of Bogalusa; one brother-in-law, Nelson Helton; one sister-in-law, Tana Penton; and three grandchildren, Zachary Dudley, Sadye Dudley and Cassie Dudley.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lavelle Hutchinson and Opal Sue Helton; and one brother, Mike Penton.

Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 14 from 5:30p.m. until 9 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. The funeral service is today at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. David Helms and the Rev. Kelly Penton officiating. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.

Lela McGowan

BOGALUSA - Lela McGowan, age 81, a resident of Angie, died Friday, Feb. 15 in Gulf States Rehabilitation in Bogalusa.

Rosa Lee Moses

BOGALUSA - Rosa Lee Moses, age 101, a resident of Bogalusa and a former resident of Bassfield, Miss., died Tuesday, Feb. 12 in Rest Haven Living Center.

She is survived by a step-son, Larry (Frankie) Moses of Bogalusa; four granddaughters, Lisa and Ivy Moses of Baton Rouge and Glenda and Torrie Moses of Bogalusa; six great-grandchildren, Rashun, Kole, Bradley, K'lyn, J'la and Ji'ryn Moses, all of Bogalusa; two special nieces, Jessie Haynes and Linda White, both of Prentiss, Miss.; and a number of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Moses.

Visitation will be held today 2 to 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa, followed by a family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, 444 Elliot Street, Bogalusa. The Rev. Johnny Johnson will officiate, with burial following in Bogalusa Cemetery.

Mary Louisiana Schaneville

(Died Feb. 13, 2008)

FRANKLINTON - Mary Louisiana Hatcher Schaneville, age 98, a native of Matthews, La., longtime resident of Metairie, and a resident of the Thomas community near Franklinton, died at 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at her residence.

Born May 5, 1909, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald L. and Cheryl Schaneville of Mandeville; grandchildren, Steven M. and Jaimi Schaneville of Baton Rouge, Debra and Paul Underwood of Berkeley, Calif. and Kenneth and Courtney Schaneville of Metairie; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Underwood and James Underwood, both of Berkeley, Calif. and Zachary Schaneville of Baton Rouge

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Schaneville.

Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home until time for a funeral service to be held at 5 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Louis "Jake" Olmsted officiating.

Visitation will continue at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in Grace Presbyterian Church, 1317 Butternut Avenue, Metairie, La, with a funeral service to be held at 1 p.m. at the church.

The Rev. Richard Davies will officiate, with burial to follow in the Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in her memory to Alzheimer's Research Center, 640 Jackson Street, St. Paul, MN 55101.

Sybil Marie Tucker

(Died Feb. 6, 2008)

BOGALUSA - Sybil Marie Tucker, age 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the Louisiana Heart Hospital at Lacombe. She had been a resident of Bogalusa for the past 42 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Rodney D. Tucker of Chula Vista, Calif.; one daughter, Pamela G. Miller of El Reno, Okla.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Faye Brothers; and three sisters, Ann Powell, Shirley Carpenter and Sheila Brothers.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Brown-McGehee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Goff Wheat

(Died Feb. 13, 2008)

PICAYUNE, Miss. - Mary Goff Wheat, age 87, a resident of Ocean Springs, Miss. died Wednesday, Feb. 13 in Ocean Springs. She was a seamstress, a member of Roseland Baptist Church and a native of Indianola, Miss.

She moved to Picayune in 1957 where she ran several businesses with her husband, Jack R. Goff Sr. on June 25, 1990 she married Henry "Hess" Wheat.

She is survived by five sons, Jack R. Goff and Jimmy Goff, both of Bogalusa, Bob Goff of Madison, Miss., Gary Goff of Birmingham, Ala. and Don Goff of St. Augustine, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack R. Goff Sr. and Henry "Hess" Wheat.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 16 at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune from 1 p.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel.

The Rev. Mike Littleton will officiate, with interment following in the New Palestine Cemetery.

Stanley Willett

(Died Feb. 9, 2008)

BOGLAUSA - Stanley Willett, age 75, a resident of Bogalusa, died Saturday, Feb. 9 in Bogalusa.

The body was cremated and no services are planned. Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home handled arrangements.
