City Council to hold public hearing on Tuesday

BOGALUSA - Members of the Bogalusa City Council will bring one ordinance off the table, introduce a resolution and hold a public hearing and vote on another ordinance when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The item being brought from the table will be an ordinance re-enacting Section 5.5 of the Bogalusa City Code, which prohibits farm-type animals in the city limits.

The resolution, being introduced by Paul Penton, was tabled to change the wording.

The resolution to be introduced will authorize the mayor's office to submit an application to the Louisiana Government Assistance Program (LGAP), in the amount of $50,000.

The public hearing and vote is on an ordinance that will allow the mayor's office to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Washington Parish Government to provide building code inspection services for the City of Bogalusa.

Also on the agenda is public participation, administrative remarks and council remarks.

Following Tuesday's session, the next meeting of the council will be on Tuesday, July 15.
