Clinton Eugene Barber, 84, a resident of Bogalusa, died Thursday, Nov. 27 at the LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

Barber was in the fast-food business and was owner of a Tastee Crème Drive-In for several years. He was a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Louise Vaughn Barber of Bogalusa; daughter Doralas Ann Wheat of Poplarville, Miss.’ brother Edgar Barber of Bogalusa, sister Dorothy Gene King of Metarie; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by four brothers, Odie Barber, Ellie Barber, Paul Barber and William Barber; and four sisters, Nellie Carney, Roxie Magee, Pauline Cameron and Joyce Baughman.

Visitation at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was held Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and continues this morning at 8 until a service at 2 p.m. Rev. Berry Moore will officiate and interment will follow at Old State Line Cemetery.
