Verda Adams Brumfield, age 85, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Gulf States LTAC in Bogalusa.
Walter Bruce Crain, age 55, died at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. A lifelong resident of Pine, Bruce owned and operated Pine Cash and Big Red fireworks in Pine for many years. He had worked at The House of Seafood for the past several years and was a member of Pine First Baptist Church. Bruce was known and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to all his family and friends.
Wesley Delorn Lee, age 69, died on Saturday, Dec. 27 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Erma Dean Manning Magee, age 92, died on Sunday, Jan. 4 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was a resident of Franklinton.
James Denman McClendon, age 86, a resident of Mt. Hermon, died at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5 at his residence.
Danny McElveen, age 82, a resident of Franklinton, died at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3 at Regency Hospital in Covington. Mr. McElveen was a retired dairyman and member of First Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and Pa Pa.
Faye Jeanette Williams Singley
Faye Jeanette Williams Singley, age 68, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5 at her residence in Varnado.
Betty Jean Foster Spikes, age 58, a resident of Angie, died on Saturday, Jan. 3 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
Lora Covington Jones Sutterfield
Lora Covington Jones Sutterfield of Franklinton passed away on Monday, Jan. 5. She was born June 9, 1921, and spent the last 15 years at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, near her children in Franklinton. Mrs. Sutterfield blessed everyone with her jokes, her Nickety-Nackety and old hymns, and her proverbial knowledge of the Scriptures.
Anne E. Williams, age 65, a resident of Angie, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

Adele Crain Skrmetta, age 83, a native of Pine, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28 in Land O’Lakes, Fla. She and her husband, Nick, owned and operated the Franklinton Canning Plant for many years. She was a retired former purchasing agent with the La. Dept. of Corrections and a member of Pine First Baptist Church.

Rena Galloway, age 79, a Bogalusa resident, passed away on Monday, Dec. 29 at Gulf States LTAC.
Wayne Guy, age 74, died on Saturday, Dec. 27. Born Oct. 7, 1934, he was a life-long resident of Mt. Hermon. Known as a wonderful father and paw-paw, he was a Korean War veteran and had owned and operated a small grocery store for 25 years.

Doneis Stogner

Doneis Stogner, age 76, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28 at his residence in Bogalusa. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He worked for C. A. Stew-art Dairy, Chris’ Texaco and Chick Boyd’s Service Station in Angie. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Varnado.
